1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. User Roles

The Platform supports several user roles, including:

• Volunteers/Individuals: Users who discover events, register to attend or volunteer, and follow charities.
• Charity Administrators: Users authorized to manage a charity's profile, events, and registrations.
• Association Administrators: Users authorized to manage an association's profile, posts, and tracked legislation.
• Platform Administrators: Users with full access to manage the Platform, verify organizations, and oversee content.

Charity and association administrators are designated by the email addresses listed in the organization's admin records. You may only act as an administrator for organizations you are legitimately authorized to represent.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with an organization
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information about events, charities, or associations
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Collect or store personal information of other users without their consent
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform without our permission
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code

5. Charity and Association Content

Charity and association administrators are responsible for the accuracy of the information they post, including organization details, event information, and posts. National NonProfit Network does not verify the legitimacy of every organization and is not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted content. We reserve the right to verify organizations and remove unverified or fraudulent content.

6. Events and Registrations

Event details, including dates, times, locations, and availability, are provided by the hosting charity and may change. We are not responsible for cancelled, rescheduled, or modified events. When you register for an event or volunteer, you agree to comply with the hosting charity's instructions and policies.

If an event involves ticket purchases, transactions are handled between you and the hosting charity or its designated ticketing provider. National NonProfit Network is not a party to any ticket purchase and is not responsible for refunds, disputes, or the quality of events.

7. Event Alerts and Notifications

When you sign up for event alerts, you consent to receive notifications based on your selected preferences. You can manage or cancel your alert subscription at any time. SMS notifications are subject to our SMS Messaging Terms.

8. Discussions and User Content

You retain ownership of content you post on the Platform, including comments and discussion contributions. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content on the Platform. You are solely responsible for your content and ensure it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

9. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, features, and content not submitted by users, is owned by National NonProfit Network and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Platform without our permission.

10. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any information is accurate, complete, or reliable. Your use of the Platform is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, National NonProfit Network and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless National NonProfit Network and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Upon termination, all provisions that should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) shall remain in effect.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
